AGAG supports KNUST Obuasi Campus to expand facilities
The Obuasi Campus, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has received a cheque for GH¢600, 000 to help refurbish and also expand its facilities.
The cheque, which was donated by the AngloGold Ashanti Ghana (AGAG) in line with its Social Management Plan, is to assist the University to increase its students’ intake at the satellite Campus.
The mining company was instrumental in the establishment of the satellite Campus, and had pledged to sustain its partnership with the University authorities in realizing the objectives for which the facility was set up
Mr. Eric Asubonteng, the Managing Director, AGAG, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on the sidelines of a presentation ceremony at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, said educational development issues remained prominent on the company’s Social Management Plan.
